Renault team boss Flavio Briatore has come to the defense of his start driver Fernando Alonso.
The Times has reported that Renault Team Boss Flavio has explained that Fernando encountered a McLaren problem and not a Lewis Hamilton problem.
“The problem between them was not personal animosity, it was competition and the fact Fernando felt McLaren were not treating him the same as Hamilton.
“For Fernando it was a team problem not a Hamilton problem.”
It seems even Flavio feels Fernando is being unfairly cast as being upstaged by Lewis Hamilton last year. The question is, how could Fernando have such off expectations of being treated as number one at McLaren when he signed the deal?
