American Logan Sargeant retains Williams F1 seat for 2024

American Williams F1 driver Logan Sargeant has signed to drive for the team in 2024. Logan will team with Alex Albon for Williams F1 and try to improve on an exciting 2023 season finishing 7th in the Constructor’s Championship.

There was a lot of speculation about his future with the team given a difficult start to the season. Of course expectations are high in F1 but nurturing young talent and Logan’s late-season improvement means he will get another shot in 2024.

Press Release:

We are delighted to announce that Logan Sargeant will continue to drive for Williams Racing for the 2024 Formula 1 season.

After his rookie season with the team, which saw the 22-year-old become the first American driver to score an F1 point in 30 years, Logan demonstrated the fundamental speed required to perform at the highest level, building on these foundations race by race, solidifying his place in our line-up.

“I am thrilled to be continuing with Williams Racing for the 2024 season,” Logan shared following the announcement.

“It has been an incredible journey with the team so far, and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue developing as a driver within such a talented and dedicated group.

“We have exciting plans for the future, and I can’t wait to contribute to the team’s success in the coming year.”

We are already looking forward to building on the positive momentum from the 2023 campaign, in which we clinched seventh in the FIA Formula 1 World Constructors’ Championship.

Everyone at Grove is confident that the combination of Logan’s raw skills with Alex Albon’s experience will lead to a successful 2024 campaign, no one more so than our Team Principal, James Vowles.
“I am pleased to continue our journey with Logan into the 2024 season,” James commented.

“Logan has demonstrated immense skill whilst under the pressure of the world stage, making him a perfect fit for our team.

“We have great confidence in his abilities and believe that together we can achieve even greater success in the upcoming season.”

The extended partnership with Logan underscores our commitment to nurturing and developing young talent in the world of Formula 1 as an alumnus of our highly regarded Driver Academy.
