Andretti Autosport unviels 2014 cars, sponsors

At the team’s shop in Indianapolis, Andretti Autosport officially confirmed its four car in the IndyCar Series lineup of Marco Andretti, James Hinchcliffe, Ryan Hunter-Reay and Carlos Munoz.

Michael Andretti, team owner, president and CEO, also announced that the team will field a car in Global Rallycross events with Volkswagon backing, but did not elaborate on the details.

Marco Andretti’s car will feature sponsorship exclusively from Snapple rather than RC Cola, which has been the norm since 2012. RC Cola is a product of Dr. Pepper Snapple Group, which has featured other brands on Andretti’s car since 2009.

James Hinchcliffe’s car will feature sponsorship from United Fiber and Data which was an associate sponsor on Andretti’s entry in 2013. United Fiber and Data is a tech company that provides fiber optic networking solutions to businesses and is based in York, Pennsylvania. UFD will also be an associate sponsor for Marco Andretti and Ryan Hunter-Reay. UFD will also sponsor Andretti Autosport’s Indy Lights entry for Matthew Brabbam as he moves up the next rung of the Road to Indy ladder.

Ryan Hunter-Reay will revert back to his traditional #28 for 2014 and will continue to be sponsored by DHL.

Carlos Munoz will drive the #34 car sponsored by the Austin, TX based Cinsay. Cinsay is a social media eCommerce company that provides a viewer interactive video based platform for companies of any size. Cinsay was rated one of Forbes top 100 Most Promising Companies in 2012. The car also featured logos for, which is a website that will allow fans to subscribe to a service which will show live video from the shop as teams work on their cars, which is operated from Cinsay. The #34 car will be fielded in a partnership deal with HVM Racing, like the #5 entry for E.J. Viso was for 2013.
