There is no stopping Marco Andretti this weekend at Pocono Raceway. He has led every session since they unloaded on Thurday and made a fast run of 41.0734 late in final practice. AJ Foyt Racing’s Takuma Sato was 2nd fastest and just a tick slower than Andretti at 41.1308. James Hinchcliffe was 3rd with a lap of 41.1412. The Ganassi pair of Scott Dixon and Dario Franchitti were 4th and 5th with respective lap times of 41.1814 and 41.2285, a contrast to Franchitti’s 18th place qualifying effort earlier in the day.
The entire field was separated by .7309.
The only two cars that did not turn laps were EJ Viso and Alex Tagliani, both of whom crashed during their qualifying efforts earlier today.
