After crashing his car on the reconnaissance lap and starting the race two laps down, even falling as far as three laps down, Allan McNish won the Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta.Another terrific race from McNish as he benefited from terrific strategy, 11 cautions and amazing driving to take the victory. The Peugeot 908 HDi FAP was leading for most of the race with some great battles witht he No. 2 car of Audi. But in the waning hours of the race, Allan McNish drove, what I consider, one of his best ever races.
