Anyone seen a image of Ocon out of the box. It’s been days and I’m still waiting to see one in the many articles I’ve seen. Cause from the cockpit, there doesn’t look like there was any unfair advantage (IMO). I’m a little concerned (probably unfounded) that the race director maybe looking to hide behind the letter of law (rather than the spirit) to remove the human element that has been under so much scrutiny.
during the broadcast, they did show a replay of him slotting into position and it looked like he rolled forward of teh yellow line.
Far out, what is your problem with Naomi? How the heck can she annoy you so much that the first thing you have to say about the first race of the season is to once again criticise her unfairly. Her credentials are the same or better as anyone else you praise. Much of the Sky team that are non-F1 drivers have come across from different fields, Natalie Pinkham has a degree in politics and was a researcher for a B-grade cooking show, Simon Lazenby has a degree in natural science and was a grain trader before a friend got him… Read more »
I have nothing against Naomi. My point, and you make it as well, is that all of the broadcast pundits (non drivers) all cut their teeth on previous broadcast assignments where they honed their skills. Naomi was dropped straight into the prime broadcast as a driving expert to offer commentary and color during the broadcast from a driver’s perspective like Ant, Martin, Karun, PdR and Johnny as well as Nico and JB.
