You can’t keep a good Sebastien Bourdais down. Just when you kick him out of F1 he turns up in Superleague and wins…100,000 Euros to be precise. The Frenchman, who was harshly shown the door at Scuderia Toro Rosso in favor of Jaime Alguersuari, won the Superleauge race at Estoril this weekend.
“It’s great to be back on the top of the podium,” said Bourdais. “It’s been a roller-coaster ride this weekend, but it doesn’t matter what car you are driving when you win.”
Now before you suggest that Le Seb was racing nobdy of contention, he did face off with former F1 driver Antonio Pizzonia (Pizza man) and Giorgio Pantano. As we don’t get Superleague coverage in the USA, I am unable to give you the play-by-play action of the events but Autosport does fill in some gaps here. Although judging by the race review, I am not convinced they watched either.
