Le Seb goes old school! When drivers in F1 competed in other forms of racing while currently racing in F1. I like it. I am sure modern F1 driver contracts prohibit this type of thing but due to the uncertain nature of Le Seb’s future in F1, his manager Nicolas Todt, probably secured other racing opportunities for him should Sato have gained the STR seat.
Mr. Mateschitez must have been fine with Le Seb’s extracurricular obligations and more than likely understood that Le seb had to do what he had to do. A guess but that is my hunch.
Le Seb told L’ Equipe:
“I will be with Peugeot on Monday to speak at a press conference,” Bourdais confirmed. “If I participate, it will be to win.”
