Brawn GP to shed 275 jobs; Picks up Virgin

Brawn GP notified its 700 employees by letter that 275 positions would be made redundant. This according to GMM sourcing local newspaper Banbury Guardian.

Also, it has been reported that Virgin CEO Richard Branson is going to Melbourne to unveil his new sponsorship/branding of the Brawn GP team. The Times reports Bernie Ecclestone as saying a deal has been reached although no details were released.

Virgin was rumored to be interested in buying the team outright earlier this year but Branson backed out fo the offer but suggested that at some point perhaps Virgin would be intersted in being in F1 if it made sense. Apparently it makes sense now.
