F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone has told Swiss Aktuell that the Canadian Grand Prix will be back on the calendar in 2010. Great news for North American fans as Canada has always represented a terrific venue for the sport and the Canadians have always been terrific hosts.
North American fans often flock to the race as a sort of F1 pilgrimage and because the track is a REAL race track; it makes perfect sense. Let us hope Ecclestone’s words can be believed.
“I promise we will be in Montreal in 2010,” “Everyone in Formula One loves the Canadian Grand Prix”.
When asked about the prospect of coming back to Indy?
“Forget Indianapolis. We’re not going back there,”
I have to agree with him on that last one.
