For those of you in the States, we know that it is not always possible to sit and watch a Formula One race on the comfort of your own sofa. We get that and so does Sirius XM Radio. That’s why they broadcast the races live. You’re traveling across country? Maybe you’re driver making a living or you’re at a track day an can’t get the satellite to work due to rain fade… who knows? The issue is solved if you’re an Sirius XM listener. Here is the presser with times and channels for subscribers:
Sirius XM Radio will offer its subscribers live coverage of this weekend’s 2013 FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX DU CANADA from the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve in Montreal on Sunday, June 9.
SiriusXM’s broadcast will begin at 2:00 pm ET on Sirius channel 92 and XM channel 208 and will feature turn by turn coverage from start to finish, plus pre- and post-race commentary. Subscribers with SiriusXM Internet Radio access can also listen to the race broadcast on the SportsZone channel on the SiriusXM Internet Radio App for smartphones and other mobile devices and online at SiriusXM.com.
SiriusXM airs every FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP race live, offering comprehensive coverage of the sport to listeners nationwide. The FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX DU CANADA is one of two FORMULA 1 races held in North America, along with the FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX, which will be run in Austin, TX on November 17.
At least Sirius XM cares enough to offer actual channels, dates and times of broadcast… that’s more than I can say for some.
