Davidson’s F1 hopes diminishing

This will come as a sad story to many of the Anthony Davidson fans at F1B. It seems his hopes of entering back in to F1 in 2010 are diminishing by the day. The former Honda third-driver and BBC commentator has been looking for a way back into the sport but it appears his chances are getting slim.

So slim, in fact, that ITV is reporting a possible interest in the DTM series as an alternative. Davidson would follow former F1 drivers Mika Hakkinen, Jean Alesi, Heinz-Harald Frentzen and Ralf Schumacher to the German touring car series.

While many have questioned the move to DTM by any former F1 driver, it seems good to me that Davidson would be able to race and show his talent. Like F1B’s own Paul Charsley said; it’s better to race any car than to race the couch. I agree although I will say that he does a bang-up job on BBC’s 5 Live radio show and I hope that continues.
