Dr. Mario Theissen has downplayed the media’s attempt to start a rumor of Fernando Alonso going to BMW. Obviously they feel Nick should be set out to pasture after spending many years in that program and developing the car. how we love to start rumors.
So Alonso to BMW? Good move? I tend to think not. I don’t think Fernando would fit in over there with the Bavarians.
Mario Theissen has played down speculation he is keen on putting Fernando Alonso at the wheel of a BMW Sauber in 2009.
“That is not my style,” the German squad’s boss is quoted as saying by Spanish newspaper Diario AS.
“I would prefer to have a young driver who then grows with the team to become an expensive champion,” Theissen stated
