Drivers pay the Superlicense fee

F1 Drivers
F1B can reveal that Autosport can reveal that it is understood that the drivers are now all going to pay their Superlicense fee irrespective of the complaint lodged by the GPDA. Apparently 6 drivers have paid, with Williams F1 paying the fees for their drivers, and it is suggested the others will follow suit. With four weeks to go, it seems that there was a desire to not let this row overshadow the start of the season. While the drivers still campaign for an inflation-adjusted structure based on the 2007 fee amount, the FIA remain trenchant in their view that the exorbitant fee increase is justified for some random ‘safety’ expense.
