FBC Staff Picks: Brazilian GP results

Three races ago, Tony had a nineteen point lead over his closest rivals, Grace and Todd. By Mexico, just two rounds later, not only was his lead gone, but Grace had swept past into the lead. Meanwhile, Johnpierre had moved past Todd to slot into third, just one point behind Tony. And then Brazil happened. As with most races this seasons, the FBC staffers merely had to choose which Mercedes driver they thought would win. With nice races going to Nico and eight to Lewis so far this season, five picked Hamilton to equal the score…and those five won big.

Grace correctly picked both Mercs to increase her lead over Tony and Todd, both of whom only took two points apiece by way of Vettel in fifth. However, her overall lead actually shrank. Where she had a six point gap one race ago, JP narrowed that considerably by not only getting Lewis and Nico right, but also foreseeing an amazing wet drive by young Max. Those nineteen points put him within just three points of being out front. With Tony and Todd falling nineteen and twenty-three points out of the lead respectively, it’s looking like the 2016 FBC chanpionship, much like the real thing, will be a two horse race going into the final round.

Who will win, Nico or Lewis? And who is Nico and who is Lewis? Grace? JP? Meanwhile, further back, Dave also picked up fifteen points via the Mercs to move up a spot to fifth, while Paul also moved up s position with Rosberg’s win and Ericsson as First Out. Tom also scored big with the entire podium’s finishing positions, allowing him to move much, much closer to his fellow staffers. Andrew went scoreless this weekend, so the battle at the back is separated by just a five point margin. And now we come down to the final round of the 2016 Formula One World Championship. As we saw this weekend, a ton of points can be had in any race, so it’s definitely not over yet!
