Fernando not so Light?

According to Fernando Alonso, Flavio Briatore and Pat Symonds; Renault have made a significant leap forward in the competitiveness of their 2008 car. After watching the race and seeing the fuel strategy play out…I’m inclined to believe them.

now you’re simply trying to butter me up for some unwarranted tirade later in the week.

that snide remark aside… I was beside myself this morning when my prediction of only 4 laps less fuel proved to be true. a few more steps and alonso’s extremely wide car might get him and renault some respect by the end of the season.

i’m looking forward to that return to form renault and alonso. i was majorly bummed to see him out due to mechanicals, but very promising on the car imporovement front.

Ditto. I think we need Renault to get back in this thing and give BMW a run for the money.

We’ll seen Flavio is full of hot air at the best of times. Seeing more competition is a good thing and for Renault essential if they want to hold onto Abba.

Agreed. I think Pat Symonds knows Fernando is gone if they don’t raise their game and I must say, kudos to Pat for doing just that. He is a great mind in F1.
