The mystery to Felipe Massa’s poor season is solved, thanks to Italian politician Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo.
It was Massa’s brother driving the car.
And that’s the nicest thing he said to reporters, as captured by Reuters. And the best bit? He apparently made a similar remark about once employing Kimi Raikkonen’s twin.

“At a certain point in the season Felipe was fed up and sent his brother.
.
“For this Felipe gets 7-. For Alonso, in his first season in Ferrari, I give him 9 and a half. But unfortunately even he didn’t win.”
Ouch.
For those concerned, Luca also dispelled talk that he might move into Italian politics. I realize that right now Felipe isn’t among those hoping he’ll stay in Maranello.
Fair criticism? A sign that we should be watching Ferrari during this Silly Season? Just bluster after a few too many glasses of Prosecco and Campari?
