Ferrari released an official announcement that they have extended Kimi Raikkonen’s contract through 2010.Now, this may end speculation that Fernando Alonso is going to Ferrari for 2009 but does this bolster the idea of Fernando at Honda or BMW? Is Nick going to Renault in exchange for Fernando? Has Ross Brawn agreed to a one-year deal only to see Fernando then go to Ferrari? Doesn’t seem like something Ross would do but…
In the end, Ferrari may be in the pound seats as they will have two seats open in 2010 as Felipe Massa’s contract ends then as well. Then again, who will be available in 2010? Fernando? Vettel? Kubica? Hmmm.
