Ferrari ‘need to find instruction manual’

Fernando Alonso’s manager and former Renault boss, Flavio Briatore, says that there is nothing to the rumors about the Spanish driver and Red Bull. Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport, Briatore said that the rumors were simply that…just rumors and that everything is fine between Alonso and Ferrari.

Alonso was issued a rebuke, publicly, by Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo after telling press that he’d like a “car like the others” for his birthday but Briatore says that’s normal and that all drivers want the fastest car possible.

to those ends, Briatore says that it is incumbent upon Ferrari to provide a car that can win and qualify in the two front rows

“He needs to have at his disposal a car that allows him to start from the top two rows. We knew it would be tough in Hungary, as it was when I was at Renault. They need to quickly find the instruction manual at Maranello.”

Alonso and Ferrari suffered in Hungary and placed 5th losing ground to Kimi Raikkonen in the driver’s championship.
