Interesting article over at Pitpass regarding the first payout of the new 50% team share of F1’s commercial rights. Apparently Ferrari received $100M which will buy a lot of red paint and carbon.
That number seems like a round number. An easy one to imagine. A manageable number. It also sounds familiar as in the fine McLaren faced last year for lying and cheating. I wonder if that amount was already known by members of the FIA as the winning teams take of prize money? I’m just wondering, don’t anyone get all bent out of shape.
