FIA says Concorde Agreement talks are ‘positive’… with sideburns

The FIA says that negotiations for the Concorde Agreement are moving along and that they foresee a signed agreement by the teams, commercial rights holder and themselves in the near future:

“It was noted that the negotiations over the Concorde Agreement were proceeding positively in order to be concluded in the near future.”

That’s good news for all involved but it is understood that the commercial aspect of the agreement has been signed by all the teams except for Marussia.

the FIA have also announced the formation of a new group called the Driver’s Commission intent on representing drivers in series under FIA management.

Emerson Fittipaldi will be body’s President, with Nigel Mansell, Karun Chandhok and Maria de Villota representatives for the single-seater division. I say an extra 25 world championship points to the first driver to grow a pair of chops like Emmo has.
