Some things jump right off the page don’t they? Button fueled very heavy while Fisichella is the lightest. No surprise on Fisi but Button and Vettel have heavier fuel loads for an interesting race.
Notable are Rubens Barrichello’s Brawn GP as the lightest on the grid and Jarno Trulli and Nick Heidfeld’s fuel strategy actually betray a real strategy and not just one of getting in to Q3. Their heavier loads may just help them pass Fisichella as Heidfeld and Trulli have 2 to 3 laps (respectively) more fuel than he does.
Championship leader Jenson Button, with heavy fuel, must be resigned with a strategy he really needs to make work in order to stop bleeding points as he has over the last four races. Thankfully his main rivals have not maximized their opportunities these past four races either. Heikki Kovalainen, starting just behind Button, will surely make the pass at teh start as his car is equipped with KERS. Button must hope for a good start and little traffic to get his tactics to work.
La Source is always a grand equalizer at the start of the Belgium Grand Prix. The tight right-hander will present some challenges, as it always does, but it will be crucial that Button, Vettel, Barrichello and Webber all make it through unscathed. Brawn GP must surely be hoping that the McLaren’s, BMW’s or Force India’s can be the cat among the pigeons tomorrow and hobble the Red Bulls from taking the RB5 to the sharp end of the grid.
