Surprise team of the year so far: McLaren. I’m surprised that they got to midfield. Says a lot about the drivers.
Disappointing team of the year so far: Ferrari. I expected them to challenge Mercedes for the lead. Here they are, slipping back to third.

Yeah, Ferrari were a close second to my pick of Williams. :)

I will agree that when you look at some of their (McLaren) recent finishes, and if you look at their points haul compared to say Haas, they’re doing quietly better than I expected. Still though this is a team which, after two years with this underperforming engine, is still taking 35 place penalties for water leaks and dnf’ing for electrical gremlins and generally couldn’t consistently show up and run even if they weren’t too slow to challenge. The team is just light years from achieving the mediocrity they abandoned for this lusty adventure with Honda. I’m impressed with Force India.… Read more »

Before I heard the Speed Racer theme, I never thought about how different it was to have music sound edgy and thrilling before the widespread acceptance of the electric guitar.

LOL…well, I’m happy to do a brief clip as a throwback. Although as a guitar player, I am slightly biased. :)

I’ll happily admit though, “Gimme Some Lovin” rocks pretty hard without a guitar.

But I’m always thankful for a world with fast cars and “Panama” or “Don’t Stop Me Now” to play on their stereos.
