Todd, did you find the six fingered man in Belgium?

For my wife, who made six friends see Kimi and the young fan, this was the best F1 race this year… Liberty Media gat this right! Or was it Spanish TV? And was it Kimi for saw the kid and made the rendez-vous or was it Ferrari? Need to know…
According to Chase Carey F1 ceo:> “liberty was not behind FERRARI fan gesture”.
The kid with Kimi is the new face for the sport under Liberty Media. This publicity plays into their attempt to bring in new fans, even the young ones.
Even those that could not afford a ROLEX watch.
Congratulations Todd, a new position that takes you to Belgium for a team building session!
When your enthusiasm for F1 seeps into your employer and workmates, regular team building sessions following the F1 circus are sure to follow!
On the race, did the US coverage pick up on Hamilton’s heavy breathing radio messages? On the Sky coverage, it sounded like he was gasping for breath most of the way through the race.
I guess it could have been a poorly positioned microphone, but it sounded very odd.
NBC here did pick it up. It certainly wasn’t the mic because of the cadence and pauses between sentence fragments of words. And he said he was quite tired afterward. I heard elsewhere that others might have suspected it was further games to try to throw off Ferrari and VET, but I don’t know how that would work, so I don’t believe it.
Hamilton is claiming part of the issue is that he’s forgoing a drinks bottle in the car to save the couple of kilograms of weight. The team might want to consider that the effect of an unconscious driver may be slightly more detrimental than a little bit of weight!
Hmmm…if weight is such an issue with the Merc, perhaps they saved a few MORE kilos by having one of Lewis’ lungs removed?
I did hear that Hamilton had ditched his trainer and was going to follow his own training programme.
Well I guess we can’t knock it because he’s still winning, but dehydration, gasping for breath, and neck spasms are not normally associated with peak sporting performance.
Many athletes experience that toward the end of exhaustive competitions (soccer players having major cramps after 90, boxers dehydrating themselves BEFORE participating then not fully recovering before the bout) but having it happen early in he competition isn’t normal for sure.
First he started banging his head like there is no tomorrow against the cockpit sides and after that he started gasping for breath like he was running out of oxygen, my Gus these two late Symptoms are all down to near melting point condition of his printed circuit.
JAKO, Did you or anybody on here notice number 44 undoing his seatbelts after the finish line? Alexander Wurz was quite unpleased with that and said race director should have a word with him.
I did. It was casually mentioned on the NBCSN coverage, if memory serves. Seemed very odd and I’m shocked it hasn’t been brought up more, considering the other physical distress he seemed to be in. Very odd.
Hey guys! Regarding the best lap times, you mentioned they were not quick but glancing at 2016 best laps vs 2017, They seemed to be on average 4-5 seconds quicker. I was confused by your reference to them not being faster on the podcast.
BTW, Love these podcasts!
Granted… Mercedes times weren’t exactly recorded last year. I wonder why not! hah. I don’t have access to the lap by lap data. Perhaps I should sign up…
