Hamilton leads FP2 in Russia GP

If you’re a Lewis Hamilton fan and you were hoping the world champ might open his account this weekend to take the fight to his teammate Nico Rosberg, his FP2 performance may be a glimmer of hope.

Lewis knows that a 36-point lead in Formula 1 is a steep hill to climb and he’ll need to start his championship bid this weekend while his teammate has won three races on the trot.

Ferrari are under a lot of pressure to revers their luck from a dodgy first three outings in 2016. The team were hoping to have had a victory by now and that hasn’t come. Arriving in Russia with new engines for both Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel has given the team hope. Vettel’s car stalled on the front straight with a loss of electronics is not a good sign.

Pretty sure the last 2 seasons Nico was around 3/10ths up on Hamilton on pure speed. Unless hamster has found something I would say Nico will have him covered.
