Lewis Hamilton needs a turnaround point in his season and he may have gotten it during qualifying for the British Grand Prix Sprint race on Friday evening.
Lewis will be on pole position for the new Sprint race feature this weekend followed by his arch rival, Red Bull’s Max Verstappen. In a terrific drive to pole, Lewis extracted the most out of his car and it could suggest that Mercedes have made significant advances in the last couple of weeks.
The big moment on Friday was hearing the crowd cheer for George Russell who put in an amazing 8th place run in his Williams that sent the fans to their feet.
