According to Brendon Hartley’s manager, Peter Johnston, the story of Brendon taking the helm as the official third driver for both Red Bull teams was premature as he is waiting for his Superlicense approval.
“This thing has prematurely got out – it’s all subject to signing off his Superlicence and we’re just waiting for that to happen,” said Hartley’s manager Peter Johnston.
Irrespective, I assume he will be approved and I am very intrigued by this Kiwi’s foray in to F1. He has been lighting up time sheets and impressing all who have watched him race and it will be interesting to see if he can get a chance to shine in F1.
