Hamilton will race Hoy around Wembley Stadium next month as a warm-up for the Race of Champions event.
The 23-year-old Hamilton will be at the wheel of a Mercedes road car while Hoy will cycle on a parallel track constructed over the turf of the national football stadium.
Both men are also among the favourites for the BBC Sports Personality of the Year award.
