Swiss publication Blick is reporting that Williams may be trading Nico Rosberg for Nick Heidfeld in 2009. Now while this seem pure speculation and I haven’t seen much supporting documentation or articles on the matter(hey, they are just silly season rumors), I can say that Sir Frank Williams is very keen on Nick Heidfeld. When Nick left the team for BMW Sir frank was quoted as saying that was one of the biggest mistakes he made; letting Nick go. I think Nick fit well with Williams and was the type of car development driver they needed for the Williams car.
The only reason I post this is because I can understand Williams desire to have Nick back. I am sure it would be Nick and a substantial sum of money in order to let Nico go. so what do you do? If you are offered a known entity in Nick, a guy you like very much, and a large sum of cash for your start driver who has ruined nearly every nose cone the team owns; well, perhaps this makes sense. ;)
