GMM reports that rumors have surface concerning Rod Nelson’s job after he ran the show in France. Sam Michael was absent from the race. Rod, as you may recall, was Alonso’s race engineer at Renault and left that team to joint he Grove squad at Williams. It is rumored that his job as Chief Operations Engineer has resulted in little success in 2008.
Apparently Patrick Head said that France was a “very mediocre performance”. We’ll have to keep an eye on Rod’s position but I can’t help but think that Williams as a whole is feeling some pressure from all sides for it’s lack of performance.
