According to Auto Motor und Sport, the joint-team car launch has been called off in January at Valencia. Much had been made of the opportunity and how it would cut costs but it seems that perhaps a major component of a joint team launch is having all the cars there on January 31.
The article suggests that perhaps a contributor to the issue was that not all teams were going to be ready in time for the launch and while the new teams may have benefited from the pomp and circumstance of the joint-launch, they were also the element that may have scuppered the program.
