Who is the group behind the USGP and where in Austin will it be?

Quick answer? I’m not sure.

But Full Throttle Productions has been around at least since the mid-2000s and has put on NASCAR events.

Full Throttle doesn’t seem to have an active website.

Among Full Throttle’s events is the “Allstate Texas Racefest,” most recently held in 2009. I wonder if it is held where the Formula 1 event will be at, just outside Austin. Here’s some details:

Although, from this description, I can’t imagine this is meeting Bernie Ecclestone’s standards:

Thunderhill Raceway is located at 24801 IH-35, just north of San Marcos, TX. Take Exit #210 off IH-35 (Yarrington Road) and head north on the access road. Thunderhill Raceway is located on the right, behind the Capitol Hyundai dealer.

Can you imagine someone telling Bernie, “I’ll meet ya down by the Hyundai dealer for a beer?”

Another possibility, being mentioned by readers here, is Harris Hill. Thing is, it doesn’t necessarily have the connection to Full Throttle. But it looks like it has the elevation we all want to see.
