Christian Klien pointed out to ITV that RBR has hired two veterans for their team which is a departure from what they said they were doing; developing young talent in F1.  Good point.  Now this could all be sour grapes and we could all have a chuckle but is it really off the mark from a disgruntled former driver?

Christian is a good driver and when on, he gave DC all he wanted.  So why is RBR saddling up two veterans for 2007?  Car development?  Brand recognition?  Is anyone at RBR happy with DC’s performance last year? Was Christian a scapegoat?  Or is DC’s contract/career over next year and Webber a likely veteran candidate for the next 5 years?

My take?  This may make for a good inner-team rivalry but watching DC, on the wind of a waning career, battle an unproven, over-hyped driver like Webbo is really a bit of a yawner.  I would rather see Christian and another young driver have a chance to race in F1.  But that’s just me talking.
