Alright, I don’t know about the rest of you but I am huge fan of Le Mans. this year should be exciting as sebastien Bourdais has just set a lap record in the new Diesel Peugeot. Why is this big? Well, Audi, bless their heart, has dominated the sport for many years now. the French have tried everything to make them lose with regulations and restriction only for Audi. They would not allow the quick-change rear-end that Audi perfected, they reduced their fuel loads and a host of other things to all but fix the outcome for the French team, Pescarolo, to win.
Last year Audi developed the Diesel engine for racing to conserve gas mileage and overcome the French restriction on their fuel loads. The TDI Audi dominated the race. Peugeot has decided to have a go at a diesel engine and to their credit; the things are flying at LaSarthe. It should be a good year.
