Nico Rosberg has continued his dream week by first getting married, then signing a new multi-year contract and now securing pole position for this weekend’s German Grand Prix.

Th Mercedes driver claimed pole as his teammate, Lewis Hamilton crashed out in Q1 with brake failure relegating him to 16th on teh grid for tomorrow’s race.

Hamilton’s absence left a gap for both Williams F1 cars who slotted in 2nd and 3rd being led by Valtteri Bottas and Felipe Massa. While Red Bull seemed poised to mop up the remains, Williams stole the show along with McLaren’s highly motivated Kevin Magnussen who claimed a respectable 4th place ahead of his veteran teammate, Jenson Button, down in 11th.
