Massa has been quoted on Autosport as saying that if he did not pass Lewis soon, his race was effectively over. I am trying to understand how finishing in the points, 4th no doubt, is a race effectively over. The difference in Kimi and Massa is that the former understands that every single point counts and patience has won several championships. Massa had the best teacher of that complex theory last year at Ferrari; not sure how he missed that lesson.
That being said, I would have done the same thing in the heat of the battle. Of course I am not driving for Ferrari for that and other reasons. I’m just saying…(for you Grace).
