Massa to wave Flag in Brazil

Recovering Felipe Massa will wave the checkered flag at Interlagos this weekend for the Brazilian Grand Prix. The Ferrari driver, sidelined by a head injury, will partake in the event that could be a championship-winning race for points leader Jenson Button.

Race organizers confirmed in a statement that Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo had accepted the invitation. Massa’s friend and fellow countryman, Rubens Barrichello, is battling for the championship as well as Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel. The stage is set for an exciting race made all the more meaningful with Massa waving the flag.

It’s great to see Felipe Massa in good spirits, testing and being a part of the F1 season even if not behind the wheel.
