Given the major rule changes next season, is it fair, when speaking of driver markets, to assume the teams will largely be next season where they are now? We know Aston Martin are pumping major funds into development, McLaren has made impressive advancements, and Haas has said from the start that they’re focused 100% on the next car (short of a seat here or there), and they have proven that they can be a high mid-field team. If Mick jumps ship, there is the possibility (like Ricciardo as of late) of moving backwards unintentionally by reading today’s tea leaves.
