Ralf Schumacher jumped his DTM start today and got penalized, finishing the race 11th, just behind Paul di Resta (Force India’s reserve driver) and two spots ahead of David Coulthard.*
The reason this is funny i because Ralf was starting from pole, the first time he’d done that in his DTM career.
Di Resta, by the way, got spun during the race. Autosport has the quick details from the race at the Norisring.
I know it’s a bit mean to pick on Ralf, but it’s one of our little foibles here at F1B. Of course, if his brother keeps finishing out of the points in his F1 return, we might be able to turn our attention elsewhere!
Anyway, at least I feel like I followed up our first Ralf post.
* Coulthard, admittedly, was probably hampered by wanting his DTM car’s speed capped.
