I find it hard to believe that Kimi is happier…. How can you tell!!!! Does he wear gorilla suits when he’s happy? Alonso has a deal that he’ll take out Lewis, and then he’ll go to Ferrari and be the number 1 driver… Massa should punt Hamilton so that it comes down to Alonso and Kimi… Why are customer cars killing racing? Most of these guys came up through the customer car era and racing was great… More different winners then we get now!!! There is a rumor that Ferrari is putting forward money to McLaren to help pay their… Read more »

Interesting rumor on Ferrari. Hmm. Aslo, I agree with you on Zash, ALMS has some terrific talent and good racing.

Customer cars are not killing racing. Manufacturer teams are making it impossible for customers to compete.

JYS: Yep, FIA GT racing is my choice. Nascar: no thanks. My advice to Nascar is to hire a designer that makes them look like cars. They just look like shit.. In GT racing you have names like Aston Martin, Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, Porsche and Corvettes. They look hot. Why bother with F1’s creepy looking arrows… Anyone watched an F1 race from the 70’s lately? The suspension moves like crazy, they jump over hills taking off the ground… THAT’S RACING. Today, they barely move at all, no smoke when they start, no twitchy rear ends… Nothing… It’s become a geek… Read more »

1st of all, hi guys!
In response to some of your comments in P#24, and Lewis being a pure racer & they don’t let people get ahead…I clearly remember Fernando, getting 2nd place last year a lot & being satisfied w/ it, because he knew they were 8 points in the bank.

Grace, have you seen this last weekend’s RedBulletin? In one of the issues, they had a Matt Dressed Like a Bloated Circus Tent Bishop pictoral. sick! and not in the good way.

While Grace is buying into the “pure racer” issue; I think a “pure racer” knows when not to risk the title for a race. MS and Fernando know this. Lewis will too given time. He is an astounding ROOKIE after all. ;)

Hi Desiree; miss you much. ;) Ready to be on Podcast #25 or is that against your employment contract? lol.

Am I the only one who watched the WRC championship when Seb Loeb was told to hold position rather than race for the WRC. Sure sure, I get it – hold position and getting the points is better than crashing out but I still don’t buy it.

Welcome back Desiree. We missed you.

Hello, Zash – its called MotoGP.

And someone should give John his step stool back because that truck window is high and his giant race suit gets in the way.

Sure, Lewis is a “pure racer” but he lacks racecraft– the savvy of when to push, and when to conserve tires, when to defend position and when to settle for points. Clearly, he has pace, but his lack of racecraft was woefully exposed in China.

BTW, NC, a candidate for the next Matt Bishop Bravado Award:
Lewis: “I’m even cooler than Kimi”

Ah you gotta love the british press. All he’s really saying is that he’s cool under pressure which is necessary to be a driver at this level. Of course that doesn’t sell papers but “I’m cooler than Kimi” does. Oh wait, there I go defending Schamilton again.

LOL. Good one Srehman. Race craft takes time to develop. I am usually not too hard on guys like Lewis or Vettel as they need time to develop their race craft while driving with the worlds best. I am sure Lewis will find his game over time.

great show NC and Grace. so where will king fernando go next season? we all can’t help but wonder. did anyone read the blurb last week about trulli suggesting he come to toyota? http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/62977 alonso could build that team around him like schumacher did with ferrari. and with a budget that big, using non-customer engines (as opposed to red bull) he might be able to pull it off after two years…maybe. i’m not sure if toyota has the right managemnt style either. anyway, unlikely, but so was everything this year. and now, the award for best use of ancient sumerian… Read more »

I was very happy with the quality of a particular part of the show. I listened to it oh maybe 10 or more times at a progressively larger volume and sent copies to strangers. With a note attatched saying “Would you like to know me? I’m great!”. I have no idea where Alonso should or will go but I bet it’s not to a British restaurant. One because I don’t think they exist and two because they might roast him alive. I think he might do well at Toyota actually. He doesn’t need a management team that knows what they… Read more »

plus the bigger question would be whether alonso would be able to take not being a champion for two more years while he shapes the team.

Cuneiform… I’m glad someone knew what they heck Todd was talking about.. I just ignore his big words and fancy language. I still think he should get the job at McLaren instead of The Bish – he’s well on his way to fluent Ronspeak.

Alonso is not going to Toyota. Toyota is where drivers go to be over managed and driven by committees. Only a crazy man or a man with no chance of winning would sign with Toyota.

Very boorish, Grace.

Alonso may not be going to Toyota but I really think Ron just may pick up Nico to take Fred’s place.

Podium: Thanks for the award! Let’s face it, Grace has a tendency to be rather Babylonian in her rules…wait..I mean Byzantine rules. ;) But I love her anyway.

You should see her Uncial letters, perfect!

I don’t buy the Nico to McLaren bit. I don’t think Nico wants to go anywhere other than Williams. He’s a Williams guy and if he believes they will improve there is no reason for him to leave esp since then he’ll have to be a number two to Schamilton and why the heck would he want that. Plus McLaren’s sucess is attached to Alonso car set up, so no Alonso no car set up, no McLaren?!

Nico buddy pal, stick with the evil you know.
