I think Alonso is sandbagging too.

Jarno is going all the way!

I AM building a car better than the Honda.

Dave Richards ARGHHHHHH!

What is this Daytona thing you’re talking about.

Didn’t todd use to say some other team owner was a class act?

Does it really provide IRL with “MORE COVERAGE”

Todd do you know At the Drive In (the band, not song)

If you need my honda 8 ball as a pattern for your pot holder just let me know

Todd,

The guys from the Mars volta were originally in At The Drive In with the guys from Sparta. Check out “Relationship of Command” one of the best records ever in my opinion.

I’m currently boycotting F1Blog because NC gave me the flu…… Still not sure how, since we’ve never met, but I’m sick now and he had it first, so I’m blaming him.

F1blog has figured out how to transmit sickness via podcast……

We’ve got some pretty tricky tech, John. Sorry to hear you have the flu; trust me…I feel your pain. It’s nasty. Still can’t shake the cough and stuffy nose. It’s a bad one. Hang in there.

NC, FYI – ALMS & IndyCar will be running together at Belle Isle, St. Petersburg & Mid-Ohio this year. How many hundreds of dollars were you willing to pay for those tickets. I would look for their mutual participation to increase on the 2009 schedule. I understand that you dislike oval racing from your comments on the podcast, however it is clear that the typical U.S. fan dislikes road racing as much as everybody else dislikes ovals. Kinda like football and futbol. I for one am very excited about having a 50/50 mix on the road and street courses in… Read more »

Regarding Danica, she has made no bones about how she has used her sex appeal to get her a ride in open wheel racing. Regardless of what I might think about her spreads in SI or FHM before that, or even her godaddy adds, she is exploiting a sponsorship market that no other driver in the US market can exploit. Even if she was a terrible driver that hovered around the back of the field all the time, she would probably have a ride for years to come. As is, she is a good driver who deserves a seat in… Read more »

If any are interested in the reason the CCWS DP01 is being mothballed in favor of the IRL Dallara chassis, here are some things to consider: -Since the chassis is only a year old, there are very few of them in existence. My guess is that there are less DP01’s in existence than the retired Lola chassis. Definitely not enough for Indy. -There are over 60 reported Dalarra’s in existence. -The DP01 was designed for road/street courses. Safety wise, it was not designed for high speed ovals. CCWS had staked their claim that they were out of the oval business… Read more »

I am very glad you did speak up. I am not an IRL oval fan so my view is biased. CHAMP and roadcourse I loved. Just a difference in likes and dislikes but I am the first to say that you are a true fan as you like all open wheel racing. Kind of the addage that bad racing is better than no racing at all. ;) I do remember ALMS and IRL teaming up for a few races last year, good to know they are still doing that. Great points and great insight Mike. Keep up the posting, you… Read more »
