It was a rainy affair on Friday as teams took the track for Friday Free Practice ahead of the Japanese Grand Prix.
If there was a bit of hope, it looked as if Mercedes had found some of their footing again even in the wet however, drier weather predicted over the weekend means the teams were reluctant to make any big changed for the wet weather.
Ferrari were nearly two seconds off the pace of the front runners with Red Bull’s Daniil Kvyat leading the way.
