Kimi Raikkonen has pledged his future to the Scuderia following questions centered around the threat to leave F1 should the FIA regulations not be changed for 2010. Kimi says Ferrari is one big family and they have other options outside F1 and he will remain as part of that family no matter what the decision. Clearly he doesn’t want to leave F1 but feels compelled to remain within the Ferrari organization…or at least that’s what the PR people told him to say.
“I am pretty sure that we are not going to disappear from F1,” he said. “But I don’t know, but I cannot be 100 per cent sure. I will still have a contract with them and they are racing in many different categories, so I think they will find something for me.
“I work for Ferrari and we are one big family. It is my work and it is the place where I want to race. Whatever they do, I will do the same with them. We are one family and we do things together.”
Ferrari, Kimi and Felipe at Le Mans in a new LMP1? ;)
