With very little fanfare, Red Bull Racing has launched its new RB16 car for the 2020 season. It is the second year being powered by Honda and this year, the team hope the hybrid power unit is on a competitive level with Mercedes and Ferrari.
Prior to testing, teams are allowed a few miles of running for media such as photographs etc. Red Bull did that at Silverstone today.
For a company that is all about brand, this is perhaps the most muted car launch I can recall. Very interesting change in their approach and demeanor.
It still has Aston-Martin branding? I thought Racing Point became the “factory” Aston-Martin team when Lawrence Stroll bought a majority share of the manufacturer.
That starts in 2021, not 2020. :)
