Rosberg Leaving Williams?

7

Much to Grace’s dismay, Nico is throwing out hints that he may not be happy at Williams…or at least that’s what Planet-F1 is reporting. Grace makes a compelling argument for Nico to stay with Williams and I agree with her but when you want to be champ, you need a car and oddly that’s not what Nico seems to be commenting on. He is more about praise?

Ahh, let’s see. Nico joining McLaren after Alonso goes back to Renault… He’s gonna drive the #0 car and Hamilton the #2…

It’s a shame, Williams used to be the rides that everyone wanted and is definitely a good first team for Nico. For Nico to go to the next level, unless Toyota buys them, he may have to go to a BETTER team.

I think Williams downfall was the switch to Mechachome engines, that was the beginning of their downslide. They did have some win’s with the BMW engine but nothing to challenge for the championships (constructors or drivers). And should have kept Damon Hill instead of JV.

I like Zash’s thinking on this one. Nico at McLaren is a good idea, as long as Nico and Schamilton can sort it out between themselves that is.

And in addition to BHY mention of their engine (good call) I’d like to add Sam Michaels in no Patrick Head.

Agreed to above. I actually think the lack of a manufacturer for the lump has really hurt them. BMW was new to the game so they were cuting their teeth at the time. Williams is one of my favorite owners and I think he is a class act. I think his Aero is what has been hurting them the most. Williams needs to find a lump maker who is willing to get in F1.

Nico to McLaren? Yeah, I endorse that. Fred to REnault and Vettel to Williams or Ralf (again).

Williams went downhill from the day Sam Michael took over. The lack of manufacturer status doesn’t help either. Unless Frank can make a deal with a major manufacturer that wants to enter F1 he will be stuck in the midfield. Maybe Hyundai or VW or whoever is going to enter F1 next, will collaborate with Williams. There were only 4 championship winning teams in the past 20 years. Williams being one of them makes them a good contender to grab a manufacturer.

“Schamilton”? Is that the offspring of Schumacher and Hamilton? :)

Something like that. It’s actually due to Hamilton’s gene doping but yes Schamliton is some cross breed between the two.
