Michael Schumacher will undergo a “waking up” process after being in a medically-induced coma since December 29th. Doctors at the Grenoble hospital stated that the process could take a long time and the family have issued a statement through long-time manager Sabine Khem:
“Michael’s sedation is being reduced in order to allow the start of the waking up process which may take a long time,”.
“For the protection of the family, it was originally agreed by the interested parties to communicate this information only once this process was consolidated.”
These are very sensitive moments in which the family, doctors and fans are all sending best wishes, crossed-fingers, prayers, thoughts and hopes that the 7-time champion will wake from his coma into a lucid state and the recovery can begin without long-term impact both mentally and physically.
