With the recent news that Donington may be in financial trouble and unable to host the British Grand Prix; Bernie Ecclestone, F1 Boss, suggested it was a shame the UK government didn’t pony up the cash to host the race. But now he’s actually suggested that they may be willing to take another look at Silverstone should they meet the requirements the FOM group laid out. Well, how’s that for a reversal of conventional wisdom?
“If they were to do what they should have done, and what we’ve been asking them to do for five years, we’d have to have a look at it,” he told London’s Times newspaper. “We’ve got nothing against Silverstone.”
