Join Paul and me as we discuss the IMSA championship his team just won last weekend as well as review the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix. We cover each team as they finished, talk about a challenging track and why it’s challenging and even hand out awards. We discuss why Lewis and Max struggled and why it’s ok that Yuki hit the wall.

I’m interested to hear what people’s thoughts are on the Haas wingtip meatball extravaganza. Guenther said in an interview on Formula1.com that the piece, though cracked, was still very much secured via tethers, and was therefore still safe to keep running.
In my thought, if the tethers weren’t there, the piece would have just broken off and MAG would have been able to continue on without pitting. Is this a case where a team is being punished for being safe? ~X8
In recent memory, the race stewards tend to err on the side of caution with regards to any parts that are loose or look as if they might fall off. Gunther may have been correct but what if he had another tap with someone etc? I think errant or loose parts always gets looked at.
