Following the scrutineering process, the Stewards have deemed the dual diffuser design of Brawn GP, Toyota and Williams as an approved design. Red Bull, Ferrari and Renault had lodged a protest to the legality of the diffusers but those concerns were rejected by the Stewards.
The next step is an appeal but that won’t happen until after the Malaysian GP so the results, while still up in the air, will stand until the appeal is heard. It is a shame that this is what our sport has to go through to get the FIA to clarify their regulations. Is there any wonder that an attorney is at the helm of the FIA?
