I know how worried all 20 of you Toro Rosso fans have been since last week.
First, there was relief when team boss Franz Tost said Toro Rosso would be bringing back its drivers, Sebastian Buemi and Jaime Alguersuari for the 2011 season.
Then the horror. The fear. The paralysis as Buemi said, “Hold the phones, not so fast.”
Well, all is well in Toro Rosso land. Here’s what Buemi said during the team’s mid-summer party, according to Autosport:
“I have been with Red Bull for almost all my motor sport career and I am under contract with them for the foreseeable future, starting with next year,” he said.
“And if I haven’t signed anything, that’s because there is nothing to sign! I am very happy where I am and well aware that I would not be here without Red Bull.”
Well, that’s a relief. I didn’t want to keep you all hanging. But, as I said back when Buemi pushed the pause button, it’s getting the team some bonus publicity.
